A bit about us
Mixit was setup by Abby Gray who has worked in the music industry for the last 11 years. She has been running teaching on a 1-2-1 basis for 5 years, receiving a wealth of 5 star reviews in the process and helping people to achieve their goals within DJing and Music Production. She has completed a degree in Electronic Music Production in which she received a first class honours.
As a DJ she performs as A for Alpha and her musical journey has taken her across the world to perform at legendary venues and festivals, including Fabric, Boiler Room, Glastonbury and more. She also produces music which has been released via vinyl and digital formats, including a sellout debut EP. She commands a bi-weekly radio show on renowned radio station - SWU FM and has run an events company and three record labels.
About this course
After 5 years of successful 1-2-1 teaching, Abby wanted to create a course accessible to anyone anywhere in the world. She has used her industry knowledge and her vast teaching experience to create this easy to follow and in depth course.
The course is an in depth beginners guide to DJing using the industry standard - Pioneer DJ equipment and Rekordbox software created by Pioneer DJ. The course will look at different equipment types and how they differ, assisting you in purchasing the perfect setup and how to navigate and setup these pieces of equipment. It will look at how you can discover music and access it via your setup and how to use some of the features of Pioneer DJ's Rekordbox software. Finally it will show you how to smoothly transition and blend your tracks together.
